TEAM PLAY – CREATIVITY – MOTOR SKILLS – CONFIDENCE

Fit-Active

Exercise means playing and being physically active. Children exercise through play. This class helps to improve coordination, promotes teamwork, improves confidence and open creativity. It is multi-aged and multi-ability for social interaction. The class focuses on concentration and communication – two vital life skills.

Children who are physically fit sleep better. They are also better able to handle physical and emotional challenges – from running to catch a bus to studying for a test.

Pre-School 3-4 years olds

For the younger ones, they love to twist and shake, learning basic dance moves that help to further develop motor skills and co-ordination. Fun upbeat and easy to follow dance movement class.

Key Stage 1 – 4-7 year olds       Key Stage 2 8-12 years olds

A mixture of fun fitness moves, combined with dance fitness and interactive games to music that improve both physical and mental wellbeing and promote group fitness. Get fit to the music you love, uplifting and infectious beats, so much so that the music playlist is often requested after class by students.

Thanks so much for coming to Oriel college in Oxford to run sessions for zumba and oxkidsactive as part of the summer activity scheme. The kids absolutely adore you and we are very grateful. I will leave a BIG note in my handover document for my successor next summer to make bringing you back their number 1 priority! Thank you so much again for coming and sorry I couldn’t attend your session I would have loved to.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Samba workshop. The whole school received a workshop throughout the day in year groups to coincide with our subject on the Rio Olympics. Dance moves and Brazilian games were taught. Thanks!

South Stoke primary school had 6 weeks of Zumba teaching from Tamara. These were 45 minute sessions of high impact activity. The children absolutely loved in, girls and boys! They were able to join in well and Tamara broke everything down for them and made it fun for everyone including the teachers! It was closely to see those that struggle in team sports get really involved in this and all the children benefitted from the sessions. We are looking forward to doing some more sessions.

Tamara came to our after school club where I work as a playworker, we are always looking for exciting new activities for the children to do, we also like to encourage and help the children through activities to understand the importance of healthy living.

Tamara ran 2 sessions at the club with around 10-15 children of ages between 5-11 years, along with us play workers, she incorporated fun and energetic moves with various styles of music and encouraged the children to add their own moves building on confidence as well as teaching them that keeping fit and healthy can be lots of fun! the children loved the session and are still talking about it a few months down the line, we would love to have Tamara back for some more moves.
